The customer called us after he had purchased the vehicle stolen & recovered with no keys.
The customer had removed the ignition switch from the vehicle and sent it by post to a locksmith 🤣 to have a key made for the vehicle. The company made the customer a key and returned the key & ignition….It didn’t even work….Customer sent it back for a second time, came back again still didn’t work. Rang us to go and diagnose the issue…We had a key programmed and the vehicle running within 10 minutes of being there. The key that had been sent with the ignition wasn’t even programmed to the ignition!!!
Not all locksmiths are the same….We specialise in all Mercedes Ignitions / EIS units, including passenger cars up to late 2014, Vito’s up to late 2014 & Sprinter W906 up to 2018. After this Mercedes keys and EIS ignition systems are dealer only programmable.
